My computer broke and so I have been without. It's hard to get pictures but days are passing and I need to write about Cam. He changes everyday and I love him more and more.

His quirky thing at the moment is the fact that he loves his rain boots. He will wear them all day and all night. I'll put him to sleep at night and leave the room. When I go to check on him I'll find him back in his bed with his yellow rain boots on. He truly loves them and I know I'll have to buy another pair for the future. After all he's growing fast.

He's 20 months old now and is active as can be. He doesn't talk much but does say the first syllable of every word. He loves trains and he'll say Choo Choo everytime he sees one. It is the cutest thing in the world. I bought him a thomas the train for christmas and put it away and somehow that little boy found it and brought it to me saying choo choo and wanted me to open it. I hid it again and in a couple days he brings it to me again.

I'll write more soon...there is so much to say but I have to take cookies out of the oven.

So more recent things about Cam. He loves tomatoes. In fact today I found him running around eating an apple which ended up actually being a tomato. He also loves Reuben sandwiches. Isn't that weird? He's a picky eater but he will eat a Reuben with sauerkraut and everything. He hates all vegetable but loves edaname. that's even weirder. I didn't even start eating that until a few years ago. I guess he'll grow up to be culture ed for sure (definitely with the amount of yogurt he consumes )

His new thing is to grab your hand and pull you to where he wants to go. Cute the first few days. Now the boy can't be alone. He pulls you everywhere even if you physically can't fit there. And of course he gets frustrated when you don't follow.

His hair is adorable on one he day an then mangy and fro filled the next. I can't figure that out. More than likely it has to do with the weather and how much humidity is in the air. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

What in the world

Cameron did this for about an hour. I didn't capture a good enough video but it sure did make us laugh.

October is Here!

So here's the update and a few pictures. Much of them describe Zoom's personality.
-His sixth tooth popped through this last week. Four on top...still two on the bottom
-Still climbing everywhere...as you see in the first picture.
-Made his second trip to Disneyland and loved all the action. Good thing we got a season pass!
-Can repeat words when you say them. (but truly only a mother can recognize what he says)
-He now is officially in 2T clothing with a hat size of 4-5 years. Will he ever grow into his big head?
-Turns 18 months on the eleventh of this month. Where does time go?

The bear climb....where is he going anyway?

The Morning Paper......so intent this kid is.

My New Favorite Pictures

The other day someone forwarded me pictures of their daughter. They were absolutely adorable and precious it made me just want to have a daughter so I could have fun delightful pictures that only really look good with precious little girls. I decided that I had to make something cute and adorable so I pulled out my bathtub (yes one of my most valued possessions) and got creative. I took tons of pictures and this ended up being one of my favorite. Cameron just wouldn't sit still (this is typical of his character) and it makes me laugh out loud. I finally have some adorable unique pictures. I have more but I am editing them for another project. This one will be the permanet picture in my bathroom. Can I tell you how much I love those buns!

Cam the Man

So I lost my Camera. More accurately Cameron put my camera somewhere and I am unable to find it. May fear is that it went out in the trash. He loves to put stuff in odd places. Just yesterday I couldn't find my phone. I called it knowing that the battery had not gone dead yet. In the distance I heard it. I walked into the other room. It rang again...I walked back into the original room.....I did this for minutes until I finally figured out that is was ringing by the hallway. I couldn't figure it out. Finally after 10 minutes being down on the floor with my ear in stethoscope like quietness I found it. I would have never believed but yet....It was wedged under a giant speaker. Cameron never goes into that room......What gave him that idea.

So that's why I lost my camera. I've lost my keys a few times but my dad notified me that they were in the paper shredder, in the Tupperware drawer and even in the toilet. That little boy loves to find nooks and crannies to shove stuff in. My dad turned on his fountain (they are rock pillars with holes drilled in) and three pencils bubbled up, then play dooh, and garden rocks....one by one. It was the most hilarious thing.

Cam is getting older and I'm sad that he's growing up. He folds his arms for prayer, has a total of four teeth, and even at the pool yesterday observed some dads having a cannon ball contest and grabbed his foot in a one legged daffy position before he himself jumped into the pool. Talk about cute......Those are the times I wish I had my camera............... because it's waterproof.

Snowmobile Ballet

Cameron has become a handfull. He loves to climb everything. He is also balancing on everything that is above ground level. One two feet or even one.

Cam is 15 months almost 16 months now. His first upper tooth broke through on the 1st of August. That accounts for his third. The second appeared about a month ago and his nose has been running ever since.

Matt bought this for Cameron. However I don't think we had enough water pressure to make it spectacular! However it still cools him off and he loves to get wet.

Cameron's First Year

My baby turns one

How did this happen? Where did the time go? I can't believe my baby turned one! I can never go back to all that time I wished away. I just wish I was holding my newborn as he screamed away with collick. Well....maybe not that far back but I'd like to go back to three or four months old. He was and still is so very precious. Just yesterday I felt the first tooth coming in!!! I've thought he had been teething since two month old but now I have a reason to hold and comfort by little boy. I've waited 12 months for those little chompers. I'm sure no he'll look more like a toddler at his whoppin' 25 lbs.

New First

Cam stood for the very first time. It's amazing that one day he can't and the next day he can. Hailey, his cousin saw it and was so excited. I didn't believe her and until she showed me. Now everybody wants to see him walk. For the sake of my back, it's probably a good thing that he walks sooner than later. He just looks so big and grown up. Like they say....he will always be my little baby.

Refreshing Cooking skills 101

Since Cam does eat food now I find myself cooking for him all the time. I've got out my wheat grinder, mixer, and recipe book. He favorite thing is muffins of which I let him eat for breakfast. Two is the limit for this big guy :) He also loves pumpkin pancakes and still has a little bit of an orange hue from all the beta carotene. I even made my first casserole ever and he scarfed in up. It's nice to know someone appreciates my cooking. Good thing he doesn't know any better.

I forgot to mention

...and yes....at 11 months I'm proud to say he sleeps through the night regularly. I made it through. Thank God for sleep!!

He is growing up so quickly - 11months now

It just seems like yesterday that Cameron was born. As we near his first birthday I can't understand where the time went. I do remember wishing away the first three months away but now I realize how precious time is with my little one. We just keeps developing his own little personality and it warms my heart. He loves to snuggle with me in the morning when I go get him from his crib and that is truly one of the most precious times of the day. I have to admit that when my back is hurting and I haven't had a moment to my self, I do get tired of holding him. However, I know that as time passes quickly and these times will get fewer and fewer.

A little bit about Zoom at 11 months-

  • He still doesn't have any teeth. I have no hope for him getting any by 12 months so I guess I'll have to stop blaming his crankyness for teething. He chews and gnaws pretty well and his eats food like the rest of us.

  • He loves to push his car and walk behind it. It's more of a run though because of all his excitement. He definately is a boy and likes to push his cars and spin his wheels. He might have said his first word of "ball" the other day but I'll wait for a more definative time.
  • He loves to laugh and his dad thinks he's left handed. We'll wait to see. If so it's art lessons at a young age.
  • He weighs 24 pounds and is 31.5 inches long.

  • He's still my tub of love!

The weather was sunny enough to go to the park the other day. It was cold but Cam thoroughly enjoyed the swings. He would laugh and clap and just smile with glee. He sure is a cute kid.....even with a runny nose.

Happy Valentines Day

Saturday, February 16, 2008

Cameron is the funnest!!! He's just starting to become more curious, more playful, and understand probably more than we know. His new thing is shaking his head NO. He'll hear the word and starting shaking his head back and forth. I think he even does it in response to any vegetable as well. These pictures were taken at nine months. Time sure does fly by fast.

Back a Few Steps

Christmas came and went. I definately realize that I love Christmas again with a child. When I was young there would be that excitement I had for Christmas. The anticipation of presents, the anxiety of Christmas Morning, and the purity of tradition. I hadn't felt those things until this year and Cam isn't even one year old. He of course will not remember anything and I honestly couldn't tell you that he even was excited about the wrapping paper. However I will officially say he was crawling by Christmas. A memory I will never forget.

Cry Cry Cry

I love my little boy. As I sit here at 2:19am waiting for him to stop crying and just fall asleep it breaks my heart. He has been crying for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. It sounds like he is almost done. My heart is so weak that I'm trying to distract myself until that time of slumber.

His new thing is standing up. He's nine months old now and he loves to show off his new talent. As soon as you lay him in his crib he will instantly stand up and hold out his arms for you to pick him up. My issue....Is he'll stand there forever.

My excuse for why he doesn't yet sleep through the night on a regulay basis. He's been sick for the past two weeks and I've had to hold him and comfort him. And that fact is why he broke the habbit of what I had gotten used to.

Sleep is an amazing thing. The more I receive...the more I love my little baby.
